Services

Roadworthy / Safety Certificate (RWC)

  • Also called a Safety Certificate in Queensland

  • Required for caravans / trailers over 750 kg ATM / registered when transferring registration, interstate import, or resale.

  • We inspect brakes, lights, suspension, chassis, coupling, tyres, etc.

  • If minor defects are found, we can help you address them and recheck (within allowed timeframe).

  • Certificates are generally valid for 2 months or 2,000 km (whichever comes first) for private sellers.

Gas Compliance / Gas Certificate
  • If your caravan or motorhome has a fixed gas system, you must hold a gas compliance certificate when selling, registering, or transferring.

  • Our inspectors check under the AS/NZS 5601.2 (2020) standard for LP gas systems in caravans / RVs.

  • We test appliances (hot water, cooker, fridge, heaters), regulators, piping, ventilation, gas tightness, OPP (over-pressure protection), labelling, etc. Certificates are typically valid for 3 months for QLD registration use.

HVRAS (Heavy Vehicle Registration Assessment Scheme)
  • HVRAS stands for “Heavy Vehicle Registration Assessment Scheme” — used in Queensland to inspect and verify vehicle measurements, weights, dimensions, vehicle identifiers (VIN, chassis number) for registration.

  • If your caravan or trailer is unregistered in Queensland or is being imported/registered from another state, and has ATM over 750 kg, a HVRAS inspection is required.

  • We measure axle loads, dimensions, verify compliance plates, ensure proper identifiers — all to satisfy Queensland Transport’s rules.
